History

El Corazón Thermal Hotel's origin goes back many years, and was born from a love story that began in Germany. Antonio Bianchini, a young, sensitive and nature loving Italian, who arrived to study medicine, fell in love and married the German Gerda Frost. Back in Italy and ready to start a family, they realized that World II War was about to start, so they decided to emigrate to a safer place and better life conditions. They arrived in Chile, but the young doctor couldn't work in his chosen career because he had troubles revalidating his degree. For this reason he searched for new work areas, which led him to buy and give new life to El Corazón Thermal Baths. These were located in the Andes foothills, San Esteban Commune, and with the Aconcagua Valley all around it. It was a privileged place for its natural surroundings and thermal waters, at approximately 80 Km from Santiago.

Up to that moment –57 years ago– it was a nice resting small hotel, with ten bedrooms and a basic infrastructure. The Bianchini-Frost family began remodeling it, administered by Gerda, who had the help of her two elder daughters, Victoria and Ana. With much effort, love and a lot of work it began growing, turning into a place that, besides having extremely beautiful surroundings, which helps the inner peace, was comfortable and cozy, with an excellent service and unique food.

New bedrooms were built, each with private bathroom; the SPA was designed, to provide all therapeutic and aesthetic treatments based on the properties of thermal waters supported with the most modern equipment, diverse areas and places were implemented, that made of this Thermal Hotel a relaxation, recreational and health facility that today is widely recognized and admired by visiting people, whether they are couples, families or work groups and companies.

Victoria and Ana Bianchini manage it today with entrepreneurial efficiency and house wives' dedication that wish to provide their guests with warmth, comfort, excellence and an exquisite gastronomy, famous for its Italian pasta, German confectionery as well as the international cuisine's savory taste.

Currently they have 85 bedrooms with private bathroom and thermal water and Cable TV, 8 conference rooms, 2 warm water pools, 1 semi-olympic pool, a modern and complete SPA, 2 dining rooms, Bar, Games room, Reading room, Tennis court, Baby football field, Laundry service, Mini-zoo, Chapel for Sunday Mass, Children's playground, WI-FI Internet access, among other amenities.
